MODULAR EDUCATION

The education at Image Academy is based on modules. This system offers you an opportunity to develop your skills and hereby expand your service offerings in a pace that fits your life and professional situation.

We offer the following four modules (click on the links for details):

THE PROGRESSION

The first module, A - Basic training i colours, gives you the foundation for working with personal style and colours. This module also offers you the basic introduction to administrative and business related issues towards the profession as such and the IP organisation. For these reasons it is mandatory to complete this training before advancing to the other modules. You may offer consutations towards paying customers immediately after you have passed the exam for module A.

It is now up to you  how you progress from here to expand your knowledge base. The most common path is to complete Module B - Style. This module establishes the other 'leg', and enables you to expand your service offerings by offering consulations in style analysis.

Module C - Make-up and module D - Skin care does not have any related consulations/ service offerings, but does strenghten your professional foundation.

With all the four modules completed and one year of approved experience you earn the title Image Artist, which is the highest professional title in Image People.

THE OPPORTUNITY

BE YOUR OWN BOSS WITHIN A COMMUNITY
The concept and organisation is based on independent consultants that whant to build their own business or expand their service offerings working as freelancers from home or their own studio, or in cooperation with hair saloons, department stores, opticians, jewlers, malls etc. 

Image People does not offer any permanent positions or wages. Image People does on the other hand offer you professional training within a business framework and an active support in your daily business.

Image People realises that it is important for a majority of the consultants to take part in a professional community. Some of the most apparent success cases in the relatively short Image People history where independent consultants have formed communities or partnerships. The frameworks for these partnerships have been anything from coordinated market activities to a full blown partnership.

DIVERSE REVENUE MODEL
Your revenue as an image consultant is primarily from consultancy fees paid by the customers. The standard fee for both colour & style analysis is 1850 NOK pr. consultation. 

We have agreements with several product providers which are providing you with an opportunity for substantial extra revenue by selling hair- & skin care products, make-up, dietary supplements etc.

Agreements with malls, beauty parlours, exhibitions etc. also provides an opportunity for extra income.

Personnel with management positions in the IP organisation receives bonuses from all sales in their sub-organisation.  

Consultants that are particularly talented and interested mey be offered positions as instructor or staff instructor in Image Academy.

THE FIRST STEPS
You may offer consultation services to paying customers immediately after you have completed module A. An initial investment of 600-700 GBP in make-up. skin- & hair care products etc. is usually sufficient to get started. This has to be considered a very limited investment to start your own business.

The income from five consultations will roughly earn you back your course fee for module A. Five more consultations will pay off the investment in products. After you have done an additional 5-10 consultations your should consider completing module B.

Your initial work on selling your customers product agreements will no start to pay off.

Image People is not more successful than the accumulated effort and success of our organisation. To make you realise the business aspects of the profession is therefore imperative. You will experience this principle already in training for module A.

WORKING AS AN IMAGECONSULTANT

YOUR ORGANISATION
All Image Partner consultants are part of the Image Peole organisation. Your Team Leader, Regional Director and Country Director will in addition to the Image People administration support you in your daily business. There are frequent meetings, conferences etc. on the different levels were both professional and social activities take place.

IMAGE PEOPLE WEB (IPW)
You will get access to our secure CRM solution for a monthly subscription fee. IPW are under constant development. The current version one (v1) offer our consultants the following functionality and services:

• Access to our online library which contains the forms and paper based tools you need in your consultancy business.
• An online shopping solution
• Online forms for your contact information and professional presentation. This data automatically establish your online profile on our web pages.
• An up to date overview of your organisation, orders and bonuses.

THE DAILY RUNNING OF YOUR BUSINESS
There is several possible frameworks for how you may work as an Image Partner, based on your life- and business situation. You may offer the image consultancy as an extra service if you are already working with hair, makeup, skin care etc. from a studio. Several of our consultants offering the services as freelance consultants from their own home, or working with the customers in their homes. There are also a range of possibilities for partnerships with malls, jewllers, department stores etc.
